Our client is a ‘start up’ Digital business backed by a major Media company. The aim is to deliver world class products and services to consumers and companies. Reporting to the CFO responsibilities include: Helping bed down the finance structure and systems of the company with support from the parent business, operationally run the department, recruit more junior staff when necessary, accounts payable and receivable, credit control, weekly and monthly KPI reporting, assist in evaluating and implementing a new software package, develop controls and procedures, weekly and monthly management information packs, cash-flow management, payroll and any other tasks required. Candidates must be qualified accountants who are willing to role their sleeves up and get stuck into anything financial – data inputting if necessary. Finance experience in an SME would be ideal particularly from media or FMCG but not essential. Excellent communication skills are also important as the team is small at present.
